Letters to Gabriel II

Dear Gabriel,

Forgive me for how long it has been since my last letter to you a month ago. I know I used to write you every week, and yes, I know that the letters have been "tapering off," but I'm just getting busier and haven't had the time for such recently.

Do you remember the class I told you about before, Advanced Theologic Systems and their Applications? Well things are not going as well as I had hoped. If only I were as devout as you. As I said, I had signed up for it because I had thought it'd be an easy fluff class, but now everyday I stare at it's title and wonder what made me think such foolishness.

Something of interest has arisen from this situation, however. It seems the class is closely monitored by the Theology Council, and a member has approached me. I don't know how many others have been approached as well, but he's offering me a job there. The position will require some more schooling, but it seems a more interesting alternative to the rather dull Naval career I'm looking at right now. Even if a war breaks out between the Empire and Republic proper, fighting from the ranks of the Theology Council promises to be more exciting.

Raphael
